Melia Iguazu - Puerto Iguazú

Location.Luxury. Renovated 3rd and 4th flooors. Perfect falls wiew. Beautifull swiming pool.

The location was right inside the park and a short walk to the falls. The breakfast was ok, could have been better considering it is a Sheraton Hotel. The staff were a little hard to understand due to the language barrier, a bit more attention could be made to having english speaking staff employed to cater for these tourists.

The only problem was the bugs coming through the doors early evening which required us to move rooms in the middle of the night.

Is is the only hotel situated inside the National Park (walking distance). Facing the waterfalls from the lobby, dining room, patios, swimming pool and bar is an added bonus. Also, there is a local bus 200 meters down from the entrance that can take you to Igauzu city for 10 pesos. It runs every 20 minutes. I arrived at 1500 hrs and my room was not ready. I asked "grace time" for the last day and they extended it to the same time I arrived. Staff very accommodating. The restaurant is quite expensive for dinner but the food and service are excellent. Also, breakfast is great. Good variety and the fruits are very tasty.

Decor could be a bit more exciting. Bathroom could be better.

The location is excellent,just inside the park and very close to the falls trails. The hotel has very good potential as far as facilities and very good service, very professional and helpful staff.

Since the hotel is inside the park there are no options for dinner so we had to eat at the hotel. We chosen the buffet and it was average minus as far as the food was concerned and very expensive. We also did not like the idea that we paid more than 500 $ for 24 hours of lodging and dinner in the hotel but they still charged us for one hour of wifi

The "falls view" room is ridiculously expensive but for a once in a lifetime experience we were not disappointed and to have the park to ourselves from 5pm-6pm and 8am-9am as Sheraton guests was awesome.

The view of the Iguazu Falls. This is the only reason why I would suggest this hotel to anyone. However, based upon the cost of the hotel as opposed to other hotels a little further from the hotel, I would never recommend the hotel. Based upon my experience of the hotel, it would be very doubtful if I would stay at any other Sheraton Hotel.

1) Rooms dilapidated - It rained one day and our room got flooded. 2) Lack of entertainment - The hotel is in the middle of a nature reserve and the nearest bar/restaurant is 20 minutes drive away, despite this the hotel provides zero evening entertainment. 3) Lack of courtesy buses to town - given the price of the rooms, the remote location of the hotel and the lack of entertainment, I do not think this is unreasonable, The hotel seems to rely solely upon its location, which is OK for this hotel but seriously compromises the perception of the Sheraton brand.

The location was just perfect... Inside the National Park, and you actually can drive directly to the hotel with easy access (when driving). The room I stayed was the falls view, with the morning sun, just perfect to relax.

Understand its location and not much to complain, but the wter pressure of the shower could be better. Also had problem with internet connection, but again, understand its location and can be accepted.

The room was not properly seald and there fir we woke up in the morning and found all kind of bugs and incents. We changed a room and again found bugs inside the room. Very unplesent feeeling

Extreme convenience for visit to iguazu falls

A small criticism is lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room - a warm drink in our room while drying out after a wet day would have been nice.

Excellent location for viewing/reaching the falls; wonderful, attentive, and very polite staff; very comfortable & clean room.

The temperature of the water in the shower was very difficult to control; It irks me that I paid $30us for 2 days of internet service but on the 2nd day was not allowed to log in without paying again (which I did not do); It was inconvenient that Wi-fi access was only available in the lobby area, and not in the rooms itself.

Excellent location - inside the National Park, and many benefits for sightseeing within the park as result of staying at the Sheraton within the Park. The hotel service was excellent, from room service, to bar and snack and restaurant service. Rooms were spacious and bed very comfortable; balacony room overlooking the the falls was a must! Great stay, very relaxing, plus energising with walks to the falls and through national park.

The best thing by far is the strategic location of the hotel and of course, the view. Totally breathtaking.

The rooms could be maintained a bit better. They´re quite run down. (details should be taken care of). The price one pays is for the view, no doubt. If you want to do more than just go to the Iguazu Waterfalls, the location isn´t the right one for you because the hotel is "far" from everything and transportation is expensive. Buses are a good option but in the evening they stop running quite early (lets face it, how many people want to go to the National Park once it´s closed for the day?)

This the only hotel on the Argentine side that lets you view the falls from your room and walk the trails without the need for a bus ride or a taxi. Is it worth the high price? Probably yes if you're at the park for just one night, but I would consider one of the many better value hotels in Puerto Iguazu if I were staying longer. I did find the staff to be helpful and I felt the rooms were adequate.

The restaurant is over priced for the the food provided, and there are no other options without a round trip cab ride.
